Peloton memberships: using multiple accounts and devices

People generally wonder how many bikes you can connect on one account, or how many profiles you can create with one account. In this article, you will find out all there is to know about Peloton memberships and their specificities.

How much is a Peloton membership?

Peloton offers 2 types of memberships: Peloton App membership (at $12.99/month) and Peloton All-Access membership ($39/month). Peloton All-Access is for people who own a Peloton bike or treadmill, while Peloton App is for people who don’t.

Peloton App is an app that streams Peloton classes on your phone or tablet. It is not compatible with Peloton Bike, Bike+, and Tread.

What’s included in Peloton All-Access membership?

Peloton All-Access membership is specifically for Peloton Bike, Bikes+ and Tread devices. It gives full access to the Peloton app and also access to live and on-demand classes to follow on your equipment with detailed performance metrics.

Peloton App only gives you access to classes while the All-Access membership transforms your Peloton bike or treadmill into a powerful training device. Your workout metrics will be displayed on the screen in overlay to the class you are following. It will tell you how hard you are training and how you improve. Peloton app cannot do this, it’s just a “streaming platform” to view videos a bit like YouTube.

Peloton All-Access membership allows you to interact with others and join classes with your friends.

Does Peloton Bike/Tread come with a membership?

Peloton Bike (or Tread) comes with Peloton All-Access membership at $39/month that begins upon device activation. The membership can be paused or canceled at any time, but the cost is additional to the price of the bike or treadmill.

This means that you do not need to buy the membership once you get your piece of equipment. It will start automatically when you activate your equipment and directly debit the money once a month from the card you registered on the Peloton website. But remember that in your Peloton membership area you have full control about this membership and can at any time pause or cancel the membership.

How many accounts can you have on a Peloton bike?

With the Peloton bike and treadmill, you can have up to 20 individual profiles. Your friends and family can enjoy your Peloton device on their own time, whenever they want without affecting your profile and stats.

How many Peloton bikes can you use per account?

You can use only one Peloton bike (or treadmill) per account at a time. If you need to use two bikes at the same time, you will need to buy 2 separate memberships.

The way Peloton All-Access membership works is one account logged on a bike at a time, but almost no limit in terms of users: 20 profiles for one account. You just can’t use one account to ride on two different bikes at the same time.

Can you stream on multiple devices at the same time with a Peloton bike membership?

Yes, you can stream content on multiple devices at the same time with an All-Access membership (the type of membership used with the Peloton Bike). This is not possible with the Peloton App membership at $12.99.

This means you can ride your Peloton bike for instance, while your friend uses his profile to do a HIIT training class from his computer. The only limitation is using two Peloton bikes at the same time.
